Dukes split Sunday matchup vs. Middlesex College

VINELAND- After falling in the 9th inning to Middlesex College on Friday night, the Dukes returned home to play a double header vs. the Middlesex College Colts on Sunday afternoon. Matt Misiti got the start on the mound, pitching 5 innings and giving up 4 earned runs. Kurt Petchachow would pitch the remainder of the contest giving up 2 earned runs in 2 innings. At the plate, Cumberland was only able to muster 4 hits but were able to push 5 runs across the board. Jon Cimino, Gavin Shapiro, Isiah Tinsley-Cobb, John Wallace and James Decarlo all registered an RBI. Unfortunately, the Dukes would be defeated 7-5 in the ballgame.

Game 2 would be dominated by the Dukes. Every Cumberland starter would register a hit en route to a 17-1 victory. Andrew Baldino got the win on the mound, pitching 5 innings and allowing 0 earned runs. Ty Powell brought in 3 RBI's while Chris Castro and Endrys Nunez both had a pair. Cumberland is now 9-8 on the 2024 season.
