Dukes-Spartans split weekend double header

BETHLEHEM, PA- Karly Smaniotto didn't allow a single run in game 1 of the double header against the Northampton Community College Spartans, throwing a complete game shutout and leading the Dukes to a 6-0 victory. Anita Haasen went 3 for 4 at the plate including a triple, double, and a homerun. The Dukes got things started in the first inning when Olivia Powers doubled, scoring a run. From this moment on, the Dukes would total 10 hits in the game. Hassen, Sayde Nicholas, Powers, and Madison Sloan each managed to get multiple hits on the day. Along with Powers and Hassen, Nichols also produced an RBI in game 1. The Spartans would bounce back and take game 2 from Cumberland, 16-9. In the game, Madison Sloan recorded 4 RBI's while Bailey Pennino added 2 more. Hassen also had 1 RBI. Mollie Reece went 3 for 4 in game 2.
