Dukes sweep Camden County Cougars

BLACKWOOD,NJ- Over the weekend, the Dukes softball team took care of the Camden County College Cougars in a 2-game set. The Dukes would win game 1, 12-4. Anita Hassen, Mollie Reece, Jordan Spates, Karly Smaniotto, Mimi Acevedo, Kennedy Grim and Angelina Figueroa all had an RBI and hit in the game. Charisma Wilke and Summer Nasatka also contributed with a base hit. Ashley Brag would pitch 5 innings while giving up 2 earned runs and striking out 4 batters. 

The Dukes would complete the sweep with a 9-4 victory in game 2. Many students had a multiple hit game including: Hassen, Reece, Smanitto, Fiske, Acevedo. Karly Smaniotto pitched all 7 innings, giving up 4 earned runs and striking out 3 batters. The Dukes will host Bergen County College at home on Wednesday, April 17th for a doubleheader for a 3PM start.
