VINELAND – In the home opener at the Cunningham Center, the women's basketball team faced off against Salem Community College, ultimately succumbing to a final score of 69-50. Despite a strong effort, the Dukes were unable to secure their first victory of the season.Top scorers for Cumberland included Egypt Owens, who led all players with 20 points, and Taleah Robinson, contributing 19 points. Their outstanding individual performances showcased the team's determination and skill on the court.

With this defeat, the Dukes now hold a record of 0-1 for the season.
