Rivera, Reboseno earn Dukes of the Week honors

VINELAND - It was set to be a tough 7 day stretch for Dukes Soccer as they took on a pair of Region foes leading into the Rowan College Derby.  Leadership and realibility would be needed for Cumberland soccer to battle through.  For their commitment to their teams, Uriel Reboseno and Siera Rivera were tabbed as this week's Jimmy Williams Dukes of the Week.

Siera Rivera - Vineland, NJ

The sophomore from Vineland led the Dukes by playing multiple positions while leading the team through a difficult stretch of the season.  Rivera was called upon by head coach, Jason Hearn, to play midfield as well as the back line to aid in the defensive effort.  The rebuilding program lost a heartbreaking game 3-2 against Middlesex College and another heartbreaker in the Rowan Derby to RCSJ-Gloucester 1-0.  In those matches, Rivera was a steady force for the Dukes. For her efforts, Rivera has been named Female Athlete of the Week.

Uriel Reboseno - Bridgeton, NJ

Uriel Reboseno has been Mr. Reliable for first year head coach, John McClain.  The freshman from Bridgeton has been the go-to player in the midfield for the Dukes as Reboseno has started in every match this season and performed well in his first season.  Over the past week, Reboseno led the Dukes to their first victory of the season, a 3-1 victory over Atlantic Cape, and scored in their season finale against Brookdale CC.  For a complete effort throughout the season, Reboseno is the Male Athlete of the Week.
