On August 21, 2019, Jonathan "JD" Dijamco was officially announced as Director of Athletics.

Jonathan has been a member of the Cumberland County College community since 2012 joining the "Dukes Family" as an assistant coach and the recruiting coordinator for the Dukes Baseball Team.  While a member of the baseball coaching staff at Cumberland, the Dukes experienced unprecedented success by winning two Garden State Athletic Conference titles (2014, 2017), two Region 19 titles (2014, 2017), and clinching a berth in the National Championship game in 2014.  The Dukes reached the ultimate goal in 2019, by winning the NJCAA DIII National Championship defeating Rowan-Gloucester, 11-7. Cumberland was ranked in the Top 10 of the NJCAA polls each year since 2014 while holding the #1 ranking for multiple weeks during the 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, and 2019 seasons.  Per College Baseball Insights, the Dukes have been the best NJCAA DIII Baseball Program in the country by holding the highest winning percentage amongst all programs between 2014 - 2023. Most importantly, a large number of Dukes Baseball players have gone on to continue their careers at the NCAA Level, many of them receiving full scholarships.  Lastly, 6 former players of the Dukes Baseball program have been selected in the MLB Draft since 2014 (2015 - Cody Stashak, Joe Zanghi; 2017 - Will Latcham; 2019 - Dan Goggin, Mike Miles, Joe Joe Rodriguez).

Dijamco joined the Cumberland County College administrative staff on February 1, 2018 when he was named the Assistant Director of Student Life & Athletics. Since that time, four athletic programs have reached the Region XIX Final Four, including 9 Region XIX Championship berths (Baseball - 2022; M. Soccer - 2019; Softball - 2019, 2021, 2023; M.Basketball - 2018, 2019; W.Soccer - 2023), 1 Region XIX Championship title (Softball - 2021), 1 District Championship berth (Softball - 2021) and 1 National Championship title (Baseball - 2019).  In addition to the team success experienced since his time at Cumberland, over 80 student-athletes have gone on to play at the NCAA/NAIA level.

Prior to joining the Cumberland Athletics & Student Life Department, Jonathan served in leadership roles in a variety of industries.  After graduating with a degree in Business Management from St. Joseph's University (PA) in 2009, Jonathan was hired and subsequently placed in the "Future Leaders" Program of Nordstrom, Inc., one of the most successful retail companies in the United States.  Throughout his time as a department manager at Nordstrom, Jonathan earned Manager of the Month awards 9 times.  His next stop led him to the finance sector as he became a client service associate at Hanlon Financial Group in Bargaintown, NJ.  While at Hanlon, Jonathan gained valuable experience in the vast field of the finance industry which would serve him well in next position as Director of Athletic Advancement at St. Augustine Prep in Richland, NJ.

As the Director of Athletic Advancement at St. Augustine Prep, Jonathan led the fundraising efforts for the 22 Varsity Programs of the well-recognized Hermits Athletic Department.  During his time at St. Augustine Prep, Jonathan organized a number of programs and events such as the inaugural "Hermits 5K", which benefitted the Hermits Track & Field Program and the Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City, and establishing a fundraising program for the fast-growing Hermits Rugby program.  Jonathan was also the manager of the 'Prep Shop', the on-campus store of St. Augustine Prep, and was involved with Alumni Engagement.  Additionally, Jonathan assisted in the organization of the inaugural "Hermits at the Beach", the first summer gathering of school alums in Avalon, NJ.

As mentioned, Jonathan graduated from St. Joseph's University (PA) in 2009 with a degree in Business Management and is currently pursuing his Master's Degree in Sport Management from Southern New Hampshire University.  Jonathan was an infielder at St. Joseph's (NCAA D1) for two years under one of the most respected MLB scouts and player evaluators, Shawn Pender, who currently serves as VP of Player Development for the Cincinnati Reds.  Jonathan would then serve as an assistant coach for the St. Joseph's Hawks for three years under Lee Saverio and Fritz Hamburg.  Jonathan credits the constant support of his coaches as well as the example set forth by Don DiJulia, who served as the Director of Athletics at SJU for 35 years and cultivated the family atmosphere of Hawk Hill, as the inspiration to pursue a career in collegiate athletics.

Jonathan resides in Millville with his wife, Katie, and their wonderful pets - Jobin, Gus, and Sloane.
