Vineland, NJ - The Cumberland County College Dukes Men's Basketball Team used a well-balanced attack, with 5 players in double figures to dispatch the Skylanders, 74-46.  CCC started off strong jumping out to a 16-7 lead, and never looked back.

Taylor Clarke led the Dukes in scoring with 19 points on a wide array of jump shots, lay-ups and one monstrous, rim-rocking alley-oop on a perfectly placed pass from teammate Marquiis Wilson.  Wilson chipped in with 10 points of his own on the afternoon.

After looking a bit sluggish during a Sussex 12-3 run, the men got back on track when Haashim Wallace, who had a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds, brought the house down with a spectacular, one-handed slam. The move invigorated the team, and helped them to counter with a 13-0 run of their own, bringing the score to 33-19, capped by back-to-back three pointers by Che'Quan Hargrose, who finished with 11 points.

The first half ended with the Dukes leading 35-25. Cumberland proceeded to outscore Sussex 39-21 in the second half to turn a tense game, into a roll-over.

Kyle Philo rounded out the double-digit scorers with 13 points, while also stuffing the stat sheet, adding 7 assists 5 rebounds and 5 steals.

The Dukes will continue their push to make the playoffs Tuesday night on the road at Ocean County College.  Saturday's victory improved the Dukes overall record to 12-9 and 11-6 in conference play.
