Dukes go on the road and defeat Skylanders

NEWTON- All five starters for the RCSJ-Cumberland men's basketball team scored in double figures as the Dukes went on to defeat Skylanders on Saturday afternoon. The Dukes have played a steady first half in their last few games and continued that trend vs Sussex County. The Dukes got out to commanding 39-21 lead and never looked back. Jabril Bowman led all scorers with 19 points. Bowman also added 7 rebounds in the game. Both Malachi Green and Torey Harris had 14 points, while Colin Gill had 13 points of his own. Angel Smith recorded his 3rd double-double in a row as he scored 11 points and brought down 10 rebounds.

The Dukes would be outscored in the 2nd half, 44-32 but it would not be enough for the Skylanders as they are defeated; 71-65. Cumberland will travel to Toms River, NJ for their next game against the Ocean County College Vikings on Tuesday night at 7PM. For all updates on Duke's men's basketball and all other athletic programs, follow us on all social media platforms (GoRCDukes).
