Dukes drop home finale to Passaic County
VINELAND- The last home game for the RCSJ-Cumberland Dukes basketball team was a tale of two half. The first half saw the Dukes remain competitive with the Passiac County Panthers (14-10) as they only trailed by 6 points heading into the intermission. The Panthers would make a few adjustments at the break and would go on to outscore the Dukes 50 to 36 in the second half to take a commanding 89-69 victory. Colin Gill led all scorers in the game with 29 points and 5 rebounds. Malachi Green scored 16 points, and Jabril Bowman had 8 points of his own.
Cumberland has 2 remaining games on the schedule, both of which will be on the road. First up will be a trip to Atlantic City, NJ to faceoff against Region 19 opponent the Atlantic Cape Community College Buccaneers. Tip-off is scheduled for 7PM.
