Golf, Egan start 2023 season off strong

BLACKWOOD - Tommy Egan kick started the Dukes 2023 Golf Season in impressive fashion carding a 90 in the opening match at LBI National hosted by Ocean CC.  The freshman from Buena, NJ opened his collegiate career with tremendous iron play, but just came short of medaling.  In his second match at Valleybrook CC hosted by Camden CC, conditions were tough as periodic rainfall and wind gave Egan fits on planning his shots.  He would go on to score a 97 on the day.

"Definitely happy with my first two matches," Egan said. "Putts I hit at LBI are the putts I was leaving short today (Monday at Valleybrook).  I'm excited to get home, play at our home course over the next two weeks and put up some really good scores."  Egan and the Dukes will host the next two events, both at Running Deer GC on April 5 and April 12.
