Dukes fall to Jersey Blues

VINELAND- In a highly competitive match between the Dukes Men's Soccer team and Brookdale Community College Jersey Blues, Cumberland faced a tough 4-2 defeat. The game, held at the Dukes Soccer Complex, showcased commendable efforts from both sides.

The first half unfolded with intense competition, resulting in a 1-1 tie at halftime. Brandon Hoos and Tristan DeLeon exhibited outstanding skill, scoring the goals that kept the Dukes in the game.

However, the second half witnessed a strong performance from the Jersey Blues, who outscored the Dukes 3-1. Despite a valiant effort from the Cumberland team, the final score stood at 4-2 in favor of Brookdale Community College."We fought hard, and the first half showed the resilience of our team. It's disappointing to end with a loss, but we'll learn from this and come back stronger," commented Coach McClain, expressing optimism for the team's last three fixtures.
