Dukes softball sweeps Bergen County at home

VINELAND- The Dukes softball team swept the Bergen County Bulldogs during a midweek doubleheader. Cumberland won game 1 by a score of 14-0. Jordan Spates and Karly Smaniotto each had 3 RBI's in game 1. They both tallied 2 hits as well. Ashley Brag also had a multi-hit game. In the circle, Smaniotto pitched 4 innings while giving up 0 earned run and striking out 4 batters. Mollie Reece closed the game with 3 strikeouts. 

In game 2, Cumberland proved victorious by a score of 13-1. Multiple Dukes had a multi-hit game including: Cecely Domingues, Anita Hassen, Mollie Reece, Karly Smaniotto, and Jordan Spates. Ashley Brag would pitch the complete game, only giving up 1 earned run. Cumberland will host Middlesex College on Saturday, April 20th at 12PM.
