Phelps leads Dukes XC to another strong showing at PSU - Abington

The Cumberland County College Dukes Men's & Women's Cross Country teams continued their strong season with a solid performance at Penn State University - Abington this past Saturday.

Shyann Phelps maintained her level of excellence with her 3rd top 10 finish in as many meets, placing 5th with a time of 24:20.2. Nayeli Garcia followed finishing in the top half of the women's race, placing 15th out of 32 runners with a finish of 26:17.2, missing the top 10 by just a minute. On the men's side, Eric Vanaman and Oleh Chernenko turned in another strong performance. Vanaman placed 30th with a time of 34:20.7, holding a mile pace of just under 7 minutes. Chernenko maintained a 7 minute per mile pace finishing with a time of 35:22.7, placing 37th respectively.
