Powers, Sloan, and Hassen earn postseason honors

VINELAND- After the 2023 season, three Dukes received All-Region honors for their accomplishments during the 2023 season. 

Madison Sloan batted .492 on the year with 38 RBI's. She accumulated 60 hits, 12 doubles and 3 homeruns while playing both middle infield and 1st base for the Dukes. During the 2023 season, Sloan broke Cumberland's all-time hit record with 145 career hits. Joining Madison Sloan on the 1st team All-region roster is Olivia Powers. Powers hit .409 on the year while driving in 32 RBI's with a team-high 7 homeruns. Powers stole 9 bases this year and shut down opponents running game behind the plate. 

Lastly, Anita Hassen was named to the 2nd team All-Region roster. Hassen held down centerfield for the entirety on the 2023 season. At the plate, Hassen hit .422 with 62 hits, 10 doubles, and 5 triples. She also led Region 19 in stolen bases with 47. Hassen is a freshman and is set to return for the Dukes in the 2024 season.
